These Terms of Use apply to jhumamedicine.com and its public pages (the “Site”), which are operated by Jhūma Medicine PLLC (“Jhūma Medicine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site, including The Daly Dose and other educational material, is for general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your circumstances. Do not delay or disregard medical care because of something you read here.
Using the Site, requesting a Meet & Greet, joining an updates list, or sending an inquiry does not by itself create a physician-patient relationship. A clinical relationship begins only when Jhūma Medicine agrees to provide care and the required intake, consent, and practice agreements are completed. Nothing on the Site promises that Jhūma Medicine will accept any person as a patient.
The Site, ordinary email, social media, and the public contact form are not monitored for urgent medical needs and are not secure channels for clinical information. Do not use them for symptoms, diagnoses, medications, test results, or other private medical information. Current members should use the secure Spruce channel for clinical messages. If you may be experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Jhūma Medicine offers membership-based direct primary care. A direct primary care agreement is not health insurance and does not replace insurance for emergencies, hospital care, specialists, or services outside the membership. The written membership agreement identifies the services included, the fee, the term, renewal, and termination rights. If Site content differs from a signed membership agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Service descriptions, membership prices, founding offers, estimated third-party savings, appointment timing, and availability may change. They are invitations to learn more, not guarantees or binding offers. Clinical services remain subject to professional judgment, patient eligibility, capacity, licensure, and applicable law. Third-party laboratory, imaging, medication, or other prices are set by those providers and may change without notice.
Medical care is considered to occur where the patient is physically located. Jhūma Medicine provides telemedicine only where its clinicians are appropriately licensed or otherwise authorized and where the standard of care can be met. A virtual visit may be declined or changed to an in-person visit when clinically appropriate.
Testimonials and reviews describe individual experiences. They are not promises that another person will have the same experience or result. Medicine involves uncertainty, and no result is guaranteed. References to outside research or resources are provided for context and do not mean Jhūma Medicine endorses every statement, product, or service they contain.
The Site links to services operated by others, including scheduling, enrollment, member login, secure messaging, laboratory, imaging, map, review, and social media services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, security, content, or data practices, and a link does not imply an endorsement beyond the purpose stated on the Site.
Site text, photographs, graphics, logos, design, downloads, and other content are owned by Jhūma Medicine or used with permission and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and print reasonable portions for personal, noncommercial use. You may not reproduce, modify, publish, sell, scrape, train an automated system on, or exploit Site content without written permission, except as the law expressly allows.
You may not interfere with the Site, test or bypass its security without permission, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit unlawful or misleading material, collect data about others, or use automated means that burden the Site. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, our practice, or other people.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation, or that content will always be current. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so part of this paragraph may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jhūma Medicine and its clinicians, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the Site or third-party links. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, and it does not change any rights or responsibilities arising from an established physician-patient relationship.
North Carolina law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any Site-related dispute that may be brought in court will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in or serving Iredell County, North Carolina, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
We may update these terms as the Site or law changes. The effective date above shows when the current version took effect. Material changes apply prospectively after they are posted, unless the law requires a different approach.

This policy covers personal information handled through the public Site and related nonclinical communications. It does not replace our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. If information is protected health information, we handle it under HIPAA, other applicable health-privacy laws, and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive:
The public contact form opens your device's email application. Information is sent only if you choose to send the email. Ordinary email is not a secure clinical channel, so please do not include health or medical information.
Our hosting and security providers may process an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, error data, and security events. If you allow optional cookies, Google Analytics and Meta may also receive identifiers and interaction data described in the Cookie & Tracking Technologies Notice below.
We may receive information from scheduling, enrollment, member-services, referral, social media, analytics, and advertising providers when their terms, your choices, and the law allow it. Information entered directly into an outside service is also subject to that service's privacy notice. When a vendor handles protected health information on our behalf, we require the safeguards and agreements that applicable law requires.
We use contact and inquiry information to answer questions, arrange a Meet & Greet, provide requested information, and take steps toward enrollment. Where applicable, our basis is your request, consent, or steps before entering a contract.
We use technical and security data to deliver pages, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, maintain records, and protect our systems. Our basis is our legitimate interest in a safe, reliable Site and, where applicable, legal obligations.
With optional analytics consent, we use Google Analytics on the public homepage to understand broad Site use and improve content and navigation. We do not send form contents, direct identifiers, precise location, or health information to Google Analytics.
With optional advertising consent, we may use the Meta Pixel on the public homepage for basic ad measurement. We do not use advanced matching, upload patient lists, build health-based audiences, or send clinical data, form data, member activity, or health-specific event data to Meta.
If you ask to receive updates, we may send them until you unsubscribe. Marketing messages identify Jhūma Medicine, include our postal address, and provide a clear opt-out. Transactional or care-related communications may continue when needed.
We may use information to comply with law, respond to lawful process, establish or defend legal claims, protect safety, and investigate misuse. Our basis is legal obligation, legitimate interests, or vital interests, as applicable.
Please use Spruce or another channel Jhūma Medicine specifically identifies as secure for clinical communication. If you nevertheless send health information through an ordinary website or email channel, we will use it only as reasonably necessary to respond, protect you, redirect the communication to an appropriate channel, and meet legal obligations. We do not use health information or health inferences for targeted advertising, and we do not sell consumer health data.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws may define disclosures through advertising cookies as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. You can stop those disclosures by rejecting advertising cookies or opening .
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing requested services, maintaining consent and suppression records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, and medical-record obligations. Retention depends on the type and sensitivity of information and the applicable system. We configure Google Analytics event-level retention to no more than 14 months. Cookie lifetimes are described below.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We may verify a request before acting and may retain information when an exception applies. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

The Site is directed to adults, including parents and guardians seeking care for a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from a child under 13 without legally sufficient parental authorization, and we do not knowingly use information from anyone under 18 for personalized advertising. A parent or legal guardian may contact us about a child's care, but clinical information should be sent only through an approved secure channel.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle. No internet or email transmission can be guaranteed secure, however. If you believe you sent sensitive information through an insecure channel or that information may have been compromised, contact us promptly by phone.
Jhūma Medicine is based in North Carolina, and the Site is operated in the United States. If you visit from another country, information may be processed in the United States, where laws may differ. Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we use consent for optional analytics and advertising and the other legal bases described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time through your privacy choices.
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when the law requires it. A material change applies prospectively after it takes effect.
